Arrival to Tanzania

Upon arrival at Dar es Salaam International airport and completing all immigration formalities, you will be greeted and welcomed by Wilderness First staff upon exiting arrival. You will then have about 30minutes drive to the hotel at Dar Es Salaam City

Nyerere National Park

Leisure breakfast at the hotel then we will be transferred to Dar es Salaam airport to catch our flight to Nyerere National park, upon arrival we will enjoy a game drive enroute to the camp for overnight.

Nyerere has over 2,100 species of plants, more than 400 varieties of birds, more than half of Tanzania’s elephant population and over 120,000 buffalos. The Park's 40,000 hippo and 4,000 lions are probably the largest populations on the continent; not to mention the fact that it is home to the planet’s largest population of rare wild dogs. This resplendence gives guests a rare opportunity to glimpse all these animals in truly un-spoilt landscape.

Nyerere National Park

Optional picnic breakfast or breakfast at the camp before starting to explore the southern off the beaten tracks then we will drive back to the camp for lunch and siesta; thereafter we will head back out for an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Nyerere National Park

we will enjoy breakfast at the camp then we will head out for a walking safari. Walking is a wonderful way to get close to nature and to learn about some of the smaller species and ecosystems in the park as well as the flora and fauna. You will get a moment to appreciate and enjoy the beauty of nature under the shade of tree. We will head back to camp for lunch and siesta.

Late afternoon we will enjoy a boat cruise while sipping drinks and enjoy some water birds, hippos, crocs, and sundowner is the best way to end the day.

Ruaha National Park

We will take a scenic flight from Nyerere National Park to Ruaha National Park, upon arrival we will be transferred to the camp for check in then we will enjoy evening game drive. Dinner and overnight

Seeking an authentic African adventure, a visit to Ruaha National Park is essential. Remembered for the rapids of the Great Ruaha River and its rugged landscape of undulating hills, rocky outcrops, and a horizon studded with the imposing silhouettes of the iconic baobab; no other park in Tanzania epitomizes the definition of "Wild Africa" quite like Ruaha.

Ruaha National Park

Optional picnic breakfast so that we can start early to enjoy the sun rise we will drive back to the camp for lunch. We will enjoy afternoon walking safari then get back to the camp for sundowner drinks and overnight at

Ruaha National Park

Early morning start to enjoy a hot air balloon safari followed by full English breakfast in the bush, you will be transferred back to the camp for siesta and lunch and there will be optional evening game drive, dinner and overnight.

Rubondo Island National Park

We will take a scenic flight from Ruaha to Rubondo Island, this will be our destination for our off the beaten tracks of Tanzania. Upon arrival at Rubondo airstrip we will be transferred to the camp for lunch and freshening up.

The park is a haven for chimpanzees — introduced as part of a groundbreaking rehabilitation project in the 1960s as well as elephants, giraffes, hippos and shy sitatunga antelopes.

The pristine Rubondo Island is 75 percent forest, which guests can explore on drives and walks while learning about the animals and plants that make up this extraordinary, protected ecosystem. Wake up to the serene lake views from your beachfront cottage and enjoy catch-and-release-fishing the massive Nile perch and tilapia that dwell in the surrounding waters in the afternoon.

Rubondo Island National Park

We will enjoy breakfast at the camp then we will head out for a Chimpanzee trek this activity is relatively easy to medium compare with other places. We will return to the camp for lunch and siesta.

Late afternoon we will jump in the boat for sport fishing, Lake Victoria has massive Nile perch and tasty Tilapia fish. We will return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Rubondo Island National Park

On this day we will have option of doing another chimpanzee trekking or we will enjoy a nature walk in the Congolese type of forest from the camp, we will be able to do birds watching and identify some species found in the forest and around the lake show. We will return to the camp for lunch and siesta and farewell dinner in the bush. Dinner and overnight.

Rubondo Island to Dar Es Salaam

we will enjoy our last breakfast at the camp then we will jump in a plane to be transferred to Mwanza airport to catch a plane to Dar Es Salaam for our last night before heading back home. Upon arrival at Dar Es salaam airport, we will be transferred to overnight at Dar Es Salaam city.

Departure

Depend on your international flight time you will be transferred to Dar Es Salaam International airport to catch your flight back home. This will be end of our service and thank you so much for traveling with Wilderness First Travel.
